The Portland Chapter of Once Upon a Room was Kickstarted in February 2020, just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. It was the last chapter we started before cancelling all travel for nearly two years. But, that hasn’t stopped the Portland team from achieving greatness! The chapter was started by two amazing families, the Heath’s and the Goodwin’s, who were previous volunteers of our Los Angeles Chapter. The Portland Chapter serves the pediatric patients of Providence Hospital. Along with an excellent “mom squad” of volunteers, the chapter has developed an excellent Junior Room Crew to help out as well! We love getting to serve the patients and families of Portland, Oregon and look forward to continuing to serve the community. A heartfelt thank you to all of our donors. We could not make nearly the impact we do without you!

We were so excited to start our Junior Room Crew in Portland! Our Junior Room Crew provides a unique opportunity for kids and teens to be hands-on with pediatric patients and their families. It also gives them the ability to learn to be philanthropists and to give back.

Nurse and Child Life Appreciation
We love to show our nurses and Child Life Specialists just how much we love and appreciate them! We would not be able to run our program smoothly without their help and guidance. We try to show them our gratitude as often as we can!
