Once Upon A Room, Lexington (OUR-LEX) was opened on February 24, 2023. We launched at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital with the assistance of the Atlanta OUR team, our amazing child life specialist team, and a dedicated group of volunteers. With the help of our volunteers and donors, we look forward to bringing many more smiles to patients at Lexington!

Opening Day
On February 24, 2023, the Lexington chapter of Once Upon A Room (OUR-LEX) launched at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital with the assistance of the Atlanta OUR team, our amazing child life specialist team, and a dedicated group of volunteers. The team successfully transformed two patient rooms, one with a Mickey Mouse theme and the other with a Minecraft theme, creating an unforgettable experience for the children. Witnessing the joy and delight on the children's faces upon seeing their new room makeovers was a heartwarming reminder of the impact that OUR-LEX has on the lives of these young patients. The chapter looks forward to continued growth and making a positive impact on the children's lives as they receive medical care at KCH.
