Once Upon A Room, Las Vegas was opened in March, 2022. With the help of our fabulous Vegas Team and donors, the chapter decorates rooms, organizes special projects for Sunrise Children’s Hospital and host awareness events. Our inaugural Vegas Team helped light the fire in our Vegas Team Leads who now decorate each week at the hospital.
OUR SPECIAL PROJECTS
Ladies Decorating Day
When putting together our Vegas Team, we hosted a Ladies Decorating Day at Sunrise Children’s. We had a group of 18 women decorate and surprise 10 patients with newly decorated rooms! It was such a special day all around and everyone involved truly enjoyed every minute. Nothing gets the job done like a group of dynamo moms! Special thanks to our amazing Child Life Specialist, Payton, for helping us get it all done.
Crafting
Each of our rooms is personalized to our patients and their likes and interests. All of our patients receive a personalized name banner, name pillow and tote bag. This requires a lot of crafting and personalization, but it really pulls our rooms together! As you can see, a cute name sign helps to pull the whole space together.
